You might recognize Chen Lo and Asante Amin from the many Black&Sexy TV shows their music has been featured in. Well… we have a treat for you today!
On the first single off their debut album “Plan for Paradise,” music production duo Chen Lo and Asante Amin of Soul Science Lab, seamlessly weave the rich textures of raw Hip-Hop, Afro-beat, Soul and second line Jazz. As protest art, the song is a rallying cry to take back Black culture that’s been misplaced, lost and stolen. The track, produced by composer and multi-instrumentalist Asante Amin, also includes vocal stylings by dancer and Beyonce’s “Grown Woman” feature singer, Ismael Kouyate.
Check out the music video for their new single “Gimme Dat,” and if you’re going to be in the NYC area September 1st, come out and party with Soul Science Lab for their album release.
